Tracy Katelman currently serves on the board of Etica en los Bosques in Chile.
She was an active board member of the California Fire Safe Council from 2004-2009. The California Fire Safe Council's mission is to preserve and enhance California's manmade and natural resources by providing leadership and support that mobilizes all Californians to protect their homes, communities and environment from wildfires.
From 2000-2007, Tracy was involved in a variety of ways with the Alliance for Sustainable Jobs and Environment (ASJE), as the national Environmental Board CoChair, the North Coast Restoration Jobs Initiative CoChair, and as Executive Director.
Tracy participates with many local and regional organizations, especially those committed to ecologically sustainable forest management, including the Forest Guild, the Buckeye Forest Project, Rural Voices for Conservation Coalition, and The Petrolia School.
She was a volunteer firefighter with the Petrolia Volunteer Fire Department and the Beginnings Volunteer Fire Department, both in Humboldt County, California. Tracy also was previously certified as a Wilderness First Responder and in Swift Water Rescue.
