COMMUNITY WILDFIRE PROTECTION PLAN (CWPP)

The Public Draft of the Community Wildfire Protection Plan* (CWPP) for California's Santa Monica Mountains is now available for public review.

This CWPP is written to be a resource guide for Santa Monica Mountains residents -- especially those organizing themselves under the Fire Safe Council banner. It contains extensive information on how to live with wildfire in the Santa Monica Mountains.

You can download the complete CWPP or individual chapters and appendices at the Public Draft CWPP website (click here).

Comments on CWPP documents willl be accepted until September 15th, 2010 to be considered for the final draft.
